DAVOS Marine Economic Institute
A Strategic Hub for Arctic Research and Cooperation
Advancing sustainable development in the Arctic through international collaboration.
Who We Are
DAVOS Marine Economic Institute was established in 2001 in Busan as a nonprofit research institution dedicated to Arctic cooperation. Since 2013, it has participated in the Northern Sea Route (NSR) project, coordinating research and information exchange between domestic and international institutions.
Our Strategic Direction
DAVOS envisions Busan evolving from a gateway city into an operational complex city along the Northern Sea Route. Through international cooperation, the institute aims to promote sustainable development and establish strategic partnerships with Arctic cities.
What We Do
At DAVOS Marine Economic Institute, we are dedicated to advancing Arctic sustainability through a range of strategic activities.
Our key initiatives include research on the Northern Sea Route, international cooperation with Arctic cities, policy consultation, and public education to raise awareness of Arctic issues.
